Reviving Cold Leads with Sales Psychology
In my previous job history, our sales team had a database of cold leads who had stopped responding to standard "follow-up" calls. Traditional marketing emails were getting low open rates because they felt too generic and sales-heavy.
Instead of "marketing" to them, I utilized my 9 years of sales experience to "speak" to them. I focused on solving pain points rather than listing features.
The "Empathy" Opener
Acknowledged their industry challenges instead of pitching a product immediately.
The "Value" Drop
Shared a quick tip/insight relevant to their business (proving expertise without asking for money).
The "Low-Friction" Ask
Instead of "Buy Now," I asked "Is this something you're still exploring?" (Easier to say yes to).
